    ON DEMAND WEBINAR

Original Air Date: April 15, 2022 at 9:30AM

Mindfulness is a necessary practice in today’s fast paced world and although it may appear to be a fad or a trend, it is something we all need to help reduce stress and anxiety in our lives. Although there is some overlap between mindfulness and meditation, mindfulness may be appealing to those of us who feel we cannot fit one more thing into our day. It is not a magic trick, and neither does it resolve all stress in our lives.  However, even with a few minutes a day of mindfulness practice, you may notice an increased ability to deal with external stressors and find a deeper sense of inner calm and balance.  Both of which can truly transform how we experience our day to day lives.

    Learning Objectives

    1. Participants will learn about research outlining the benefits of mindfulness practice.

    2. Participants will gain practical skills to use personally to help manage stress every day.

    3. Participants will gain practical skills to help empower clients to help themselves.

    MEET OUR SPEAKER

    ON DEMAND WEBINAR

Original Air Date: July 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM

Racial trauma is continuous and therefore the conversation must continue. Ongoing conversations help therapists to increase their ability in having challenging discussions. This will be a panel discussion on racial trauma and healing in the Black community. The panel will consist of professionals with various backgrounds who will share their perspectives on understanding the impact of racial trauma and collective healing, discuss therapeutic interventions for racial healing, coping with systemic oppression and utilizing client's strengths in assisting their healing process. We aspire for attendees to gather an understanding of diversity behind the Black experience.

    Objectives

    1. Participants will develop an understanding of the impact of racial trauma and collective healing.

    2. Participants will be presented with a framework of healing that considers therapeutic techniques and interventions.

    3. Participants will learn ways to help individuals cope with systemic oppression.

    4. Participants will learn how to support the awareness of client strengths to assist them in their healing process.
