My name is Mary and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I believe in utilizing a person-centered holistic approach to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to come up with the best plan of care for them. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities in sessions with my clients. Additionally I am trained in mindfulness, brainspotting, LGBTQIA+ informed interventions, and utilize Energy Psychology techniques, such as Reiki and Light Connections Therapy.
I enjoy working with teens, young adults, adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My work mainly focuses on working with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment challenges, phase of life transitions, and may be questioning their gender and their sexuality. I have four years of experience, working in a variety of settings from community mental health, in schools, in a family private practice, and with a corporate organization.
I believe that we are shaped by our unique life experiences and these experiences can leave us feeling lost, confused, hurt, and disconnected. Through counseling you may find ways to reconnect with yourself and find your path. My belief is that we all have the capacity to heal and to be who we are truly meant to be. I have the ability to connect with others and create a safe and judgement free space in order to facilitate personal growth and empowerment.
