Mary Beth is certified in both EMDR and Sexual Addition Therapy.
Trained in EMDR (EMDR.com), an innovative therapy to address the issues of PTSD, trauma, and disturbing life events, Mary Beth specializes in helping clients in the aftermath of childhood abuse and neglect. She also works with clients dealing with emotional, physical and sexual trauma suffered as an adult, relational trauma, and medical trauma, including recovery from abortion.
Mary Beth has helped clients deal with anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, adoption, coping skills, infertility issues, self-image and self worth, transitions, and weight issues. She works with couples as they repair lost connections, helping couples create of a new and deeper level of relationship.
She is also a Certified Sexual Addiction therapist and helps couples and individual recover. Often sexual addiction and trauma are interwoven. Trauma from childhood and trauma caused by the addiction itself. She works with a team to help clients recover and create the trusting relationships they desire.
Mary Beth believes every person deserves to have supportive connections in life. Connections to their friends and family that facilitate building a meaningful life, connections to an inner world that supplies confidence and character, and connections to a perception of God that cultivates faith and hope. She uses her professional skills to help repair, nurture, and create these connections.
She has been practicing in the Orlando area for over 17 years, and has worked at A Center for Women, Braveheart Counseling, House of Hope, LifeSource Christian Counseling and Westwood Church Counseling Center as well as her private practice in Winter Park. Mary Beth is currently in private practice in Winter Park, Florida.
