TOPIC: Advanced Integrative Therapy - An Energetic Approach to Trauma Treatment

DESCRIPTION:

The presentation covers a brief introduction to Energy Psychology systems used to treat emotional disorders, and then proceeds to talk specifically about AIT.  AIT is a deep psychotherapy that has developed a definition of trauma that is easy to understand and leads the clinician to a treatment plan that helps clear current triggers that stem from childhood trauma.  It has a strong cognitive component that addresses negative core beliefs and can be used for long-term or brief therapy treatments.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

From this participants should be able to identify 1) what is meant by the subltle energy system and identify two types of systems used in trauma treatment; 2) the definition of trauma that is used in AIT to treat current and childhood issues and 3) how treating originating traumas and discovering core beliefs can bring lasting relief to the typical issues clients bring to therapy.
