SPEAKER: Karla Tamakloe, Ph.D., LCSW
Karla has a Masters in Social Work and a Ph. D in General Psychology. She has employment experience in community mental health, juvenile justice and outpatient treatment with adults and children.
TOPIC: Building Resiliency: A mental health treatment perspective
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1) Discuss the concept of resiliency as it is viewed in current research.
2) Identify the role of the clinician.
3) Identify ways to build resiliency within a mental health treatment population and different systems of care.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
MHCCF meets on the third Friday of every month, except for July and December. Unless otherwise specified, our meetings are held at All Saints Church, 338 E Lyman Ave, Winter Park, Fla., with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. and the program from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
It is free to attend MHCCF’s monthly meetings; however you must be a paid, professional member of MHCCF to qualify for 1 CEU. Active professional members of MHCCF are required to sign in and sign out at each meeting to receive a CEU. Please have your license number available upon check-in.
