TOPIC: “When they go Low we go High:” When Assertiveness Isn’t Enough
How can we put this wise advice from the former first lady into practice? This experiential workshop demonstrates four verbal strategies that disarm toxic people that populate our own and our client’s lives. Learn how to use the neurochemicals that recruit seeking, caring, and playing to dilute those that drive rage, fear, and panic in others. Give clients tools for true empowerment through the ability to manage others’ emotions.
1. Distinguish typical attack-defend-withdraw reactions from accessible, responsive, engaged interactions.
2. Identify the neurochemicals that drive rage, fear, and panic, v seeking, caring, and playing.
3. Brainstorm how to create entrancing responds to respond to verbal attacks.
