How To Be An Expert Witness
By: Linnda Durré, PhD

At least once in your professional life as a counselor or psychotherapist, you will receive a subpoena to give a deposition and/or appear in court for your clients. This can be a very tense and nerve-wracking situation that can cause you sleepless nights. This seminar and PowerPoint presentation will give you advice on what to do so that you will be prepared, organized, and calm so you can be deposed and/or testify professionally and thoroughly.

Presentation Objectives:

1) You will be able to understand the process, intentions, and goals of a deposition and/or court testimony.

2)You will be educated on how to prepare for a deposition and/or court testimony.

3) You will have triads to do brief role-playing as an attorney, expert, and observer.

4) You will be reassured that you will get through it.
