WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The community of mental health is heavily influenced by societal standards and societal expression. This significantly affects the male persona that is consistently presented to young men in our culture. This idea of being a "strong man" can significantly hinder and affect the ability for a mental health professional to connect and help a male client. This presentation aims at providing helpful information that will give therapist and mental health professionals the tools needed to provide culturally appropriate services to male clients.

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will gain a better understanding of gender development theory.
   
   

2. Attendees will be able to define and understand masculinity in our current culture, as well as, identify societal influences on the masculine culture.
   
   

3. Attendees will learn skills they will be able to use in their practice to offer support, education, and encourage rapport building between mental health professionals and male clients.

HOW IT WORKS

• On the day of the event, we will send you a link with the video for you to watch your on-demand webinar video - ENJOY!
  
  
• Those who registered as Non-Member (CEU) and Members will receive a second email with the link for the CEU survey. 
  
  
• You will have until April 30, 2020 to watch the video and complete the CEU survey for total of 1 CEU credit with the links that were sent via the previously mentioned emails (video and survey).
