Presentation Summary:
Therapists are taught how to effectively counsel clients but are never formally taught how to get clients in the door. In this CE training we will cover what marketing is and why it is vital for a thriving practice, how to define your ideal client, create the components of your brand, understand the ever changing social media platforms, and receive a list of helpful resources to develop your marketing strategy. Marketing can be intimidating but we can break it down into bite sized actionable items to get you and your practice on the map so ideal clients can find YOU and receive the support they are seeking.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define the term marketing and why it is vital for therapists to learn effective marketing.
2. Understand the basics of creating a marketing avatar and reach your ideal client.
3. Identify the components of an effective brand strategy.
4. Understand the various social media platforms that can used to reach clients.
5. Receive a list of ideas and resources for marketing yourself and/or your practice.
Speaker Bio:
Cristina Ally, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, and the owner of Flourish Counseling Co. in sunny Winter Park, Florida. She is a proud graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University and received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in marriage and family. She is trained in EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT - Levels I & II). She enjoys using these tools to resolve traumatic memories for clients.
Cristina currently serves on the board of the Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida as the Membership Chair for the remainder of 2023 and has served in various capacities since 2019. During her time with MHCCF, Cristina has also enjoyed the honor of serving as the President of the board in 2020.
She is a member of the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, a Professional Member of the Association for Play Therapy, and a Professional Member of the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association. She is passionate about working with trauma survivors and using expressive arts therapy to help further client’s in their healing journey.
