Presentation Summary:

The 2023 Stress in America™ survey shows a marked increase in adults experiencing stress and illness in comparison to 2019, the pre-pandemic era. A method that can be used to help clients decrease their stress levels in these trying times is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping). EFT Tapping is a form of acupressure that is used to calm the nervous system and lower stress levels. Rose will explain the mental, emotional, and physiological benefits of EFT Tapping. She will engage the audience in a series of tapping rounds explaining each meridian endpoint. And clinicians will learn how to start using this tool in session with clients and how it can assist the clinician as well.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will learn what EFT Tapping is, its benefits, and how to perform EFT Tapping as a self-care tool.

2. Participants will identify the physiological response to stress.

3. Participants will receive an overview of evidenced-based research on the effectiveness of EFT Tapping.

4. Participants will learn how to introduce EFT Tapping to clients, both adults and children, and special considerations.
