Presentation Summary:

Anger Management is often overlooked in the advancing field of mental health treatment. We give clients the “anger iceberg,” teach self-calming skills, and have very important conversations about trauma and family of origin, but so many clients are not taught to actually understand anger, and their relationship with it. Since anger is an emotion that all humans feel, it is important to gain confidence and comfortability in helping clients manage it. This presentation is designed to give you some helpful tools in doing so.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants of this training will learn new skills for helping clients manage anger and reactivity.

  2. Participants of this training will be able to define anger as it exists as a functional part of the range of human emotions.

  3. Participants of this training will learn new skills for treating anger issues within the context of trauma therapy.
