Presentation Summary:
Asexuality and hypersexuality are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or overlooked in both clinical and community settings. For many individuals, especially those navigating identity alongside conditions such as bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, these topics intersect in unique and complex ways. A webinar dedicated to this subject would not only increase awareness but also equip professionals and community members with practical tools to better support clients and loved ones.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define and distinguish between asexuality and hypersexuality.
2. Understand how these identities and experiences can coexist and intersect with mental health diagnoses.
3. Identify common myths and stigmas around asexuality and hypersexuality, and learn strategies to challenge them.
4. Explore practical, affirming approaches for supporting individuals who experience both.
