Presentation Summary:

In today's fast-paced world, counselors often navigate complex systems and high-pressure environments, leading to unique challenges, ethical dilemmas, and burnout. This dynamic and highly interactive workshop moves beyond traditional stress management theory, offering hands-on, experiential learning opportunities designed to equip mental health professionals with practical tools to create sustainable calm and professional fulfillment.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for all mental health professionals, including Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), social workers, and clinical supervisors who are seeking practical, innovative ways to manage the demands of their crucial work. The content is best suited for intermediate-level professionals looking to enhance their resilience and leadership skills.

Speakers Bio:

Brooklyn Hancock is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with over 7 years of experience. She graduated from the University of Florida with her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Family, Youth, and Community Science. She continued her education at the University of Central Florida where she earned a Masters Degree in Counselor Education: Mental Health Track.

She is a Registered Play Therapist as well as EMDR Certified Therapist. Primarily, he has worked in the school system and subsequently become certified as a school counselor. Through her experiences within the school system, she has a wide variety of experience with various concerns and populations. Her strengths include working with parents on parenting strategies, relationship building, communication, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment related concerns, and self-esteem/self-worth. She utilizes her background in play therapy to aid in using expressive methods in her work with clients. She believes that sometimes the most growth comes from processing things we create rather than say. Brooklyn focuses on building authentic and trusting environments for her clients to support their healing journey. Brooklyn is also a qualified supervisor in the state of Florida and provides training on play therapy, and teaches courses as an adjunct professor at UCF.

Aimee Jennings is a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 25 years of experience, Aimee is committed to fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for children, teens, adults, and families. She embraces a holistic approach to working with clients that includes utilizing expressive arts, play therapy and mindfulness techniques, aiming to empower clients on their journey towards healing and personal growth. She specializes in anxiety, depression, autism, attachment issues, caregiver issues, LGBTQ+, trauma, managing anger, and more, utilizing a client-centered approach that respects each individual's unique background and needs. Through collaborative goal-setting and skill-building techniques, she assists clients in developing effective coping strategies and enhancing their overall well-being. She has a passion for helping people discover, embrace and live their true authentic selves. In addition to her clinical practice, he has held numerous positions with the Florida Association for Play Therapy since 2018, and is currently the Chapter Chair for the Central Florida region. She also provides supervision, consultations and workshops for counselors.
